Ayesha Kapila

she/her

I'm a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist offering therapy that honours both the conscious and the unseen — the stories you can name and the ones that move quietly beneath the surface.

My work draws from psychodynamic and Jungian traditions. I’m interested in how language, symbols, and story help us make sense of ourselves and our place in the world. Together, we can explore what matters most to you, helping you reconnect with your voice, your rhythm, and your sense of possibility.

I work inclusively with people from all backgrounds and identities, and have particular experience supporting women from the Global Majority. I'm attentive to how culture, identity, and systems shape your inner and outer worlds.

In person sessions are held in Bethnal Green, London, with online sessions available across the UK.

How We Work Together

At the heart of therapy is relationship. I aim to offer a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can feel safe to explore, reflect, and better understand yourself.

I work from integrative psychotherapy with additional training in trauma and grief work. My approach is shaped responsively around you and your needs. Through open curiosity and thoughtful questions, we may explore patterns, memories, dreams, and everyday experiences, while also including simple grounding exercises or breath work to support you.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are offered weekly or fortnightly at a regular time.

What I Help With

I support people navigating a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Childhood trauma
  • Challenges with sex and intimacy
  • Cultural and cross-cultural concerns
  • Exploration around neurodiversity and self-discovery
  • Questions of spirituality, belonging, and meaning
  • Identity, self-worth, and self-esteem
  • The emotional impact of illness and chronic conditions
  • The effects of past abuse and relational trauma

I have specialist experience supporting women of the Global Majority navigating grief, childhood trauma, relational wounds, and the effects of systemic oppression.

Sessions & Fees

Booking a free 15-minute consultation is a chance to ask questions and get a feel for how we might work together before committing further.

If you feel that more time would be useful, an initial hour-long session costs £80, and is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, consider what approach might suit you best, and decide on (a course of commitment??).

I offer both short-term (usually 3–6 months) and open-ended therapy for adults. Sessions are scheduled weekly or fortnightly at a regular time that suits us both.

A 50-minute session costs £80. I hold a small number of reduced-cost places for those that require them - please get in touch if so.
